SAP HCM Consultant Experienced

Roles and Responsibilities

SAP HCM Implementation & Configuration:

  • Configure and customize SAP HCM modules, including PA, OM, Time Management (TM), Payroll (PY), and ESS/MSS.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into system configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with country-specific HR and payroll regulations.
  • Handle data migration and master data management.

SAP Time Management (Positive & Negative Time Management):

  • Positive Time Management: Configure and maintain real-time time tracking using time recording devices (e.g., swipe cards, biometric systems).
  • Negative Time Management: Set up default work schedules, focusing on exceptions like absences and overtime rather than tracking actual hours worked.
  • Define and configure
  • Work Schedules (Daily, Weekly, Period Work Schedules)
  • Public Holiday Calendars & Counting Rules
  • Absence & Attendance Types (Leaves, Over Time, etc.)
  • Configure Time Evaluation (RPTIME00) schemas to process
  • Overtime and shift premiums
  • Leave balances and quota accruals
  • Absence and attendance tracking
  • Develop and modify PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules) to handle time-related calculations
  • Shift allowances
  • Late coming/early going penalties
  • Overtime and night shift premiums
  • Leave deductions and quota accruals

Payroll Processing & PCR Development:

  • Configure Payroll Schema to manage
  • Earnings and deductions
  • Taxation and statutory compliance (e.g., Provident Fund, ESIC, Income Tax)
  • Retroactive calculations and arrears processing
  • Develop and customize PCRs for Payroll to handle
  • Wage type calculations
  • Bonus and incentive processing
  • Loan and advance recovery rules
  • Special allowances and deductions
  • Ensure seamless integration of Time Management with Payroll for accurate wage calculations.

ESS/MSS & Reporting:

  • Implement Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) for leave requests, time approvals, and payroll reports.
  • Generate reports using
  • SAP Standard Reports
  • Ad-hoc Queries
  • Custom HR Reporting Tools

System Support, Enhancements & Integration:

  • Provide L2/L3 support for SAP HCM issues, troubleshooting errors, and optimizing system performance.
  • Collaborate with ABAP developers for enhancements, user exits, and reports.
  • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and end-user training.
  • Integrate SAP HCM with SuccessFactors, FIORI, or other third-party applications.
